Malabsorption sucks
Five years after being diagnosed with fructose malabsorption, I don’t think it about it on a nearly hourly basis. I really don’t think about it too often in general anymore, we read labels all the time, but I don’t actively think of myself as having a disease or condition anymore. Especially when I’m not sick very often I forget there are consequences. I was diagnosed when...

2012 Goals - Practice

We’re also having a salad every day for lunch. The first two days will be a mexican salad - ground beef, corn, and sauteed peppers over lettuce, cucumbers, tomato and avocado. We made a...

Walking commute
We just tried walking to my work. It is about 2 mi through a pretty park and it took about 45 min. I think I’ll be walking home most days now.

Jul Afton
We visited a family friend’s house today for lunch. We tried “dopp i gyrtan” which is an old Swedish custom. You take a piece of bread (it looks like a large unleavened cracker) and place it in broth. After a few minutes of soaking you retrieve it and then you add butter, ham and mustard. They told us that not everyone likes it, but we both thought it was delicious. We met some...
